I live in Milford now (formerly lived in Farmington Hills) and when I do errands around Farmington I do them on Thursday so I can attend Kim Thompson’s Yoga classes. She is an excellent teacher. The Farmington YMCA is lucky to have such a great teacher.

The place was super inviting. Felt serene and calm once I entered. Kim welcomed me and made sure that I have everything I needed. Class started on time. Great class for people who’ve never done yoga or have been doing it for awhile. Modifications were always there when needed. Many classes offered. Will definitely return! :)

Kim just has a way of making you feel comfortable and letting you go at your own pace. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and working with Kim. I have been practicing yoga for several years and Kim is, by far, my favorite instructor. She is very kind and welcoming. Her classes are fun and original - no two vinyasa, yin, etc. classes are the same. She likes to incorporate new poses she has learned as well as put a fun spin on poses you have done before. And about those arm balances - Kim is the queen of arm balances! I love to learn from her.

With poses and flows, she incorporates a wonderful combination of breathwork, meditation, and deep stretching. I had never done yoga before - she has helped me gain flexibility and strength. Her instructions are delivered in a very clear and calm manner. In addition to the variety of classes she teaches, she also offers interesting and fun workshops. I have “Love Stinks”, “Almost every hand you have ever shaken has had a dick in it”, and she also just recently made a custom stitch for my husband, “96 is closed” which has sentimental meaning from way back… when they both worked together.
